Công Cụ Nhanh

Privacy policy

Last updated:

This policy explains how Công Cụ Nhanh (congcunhanh.com) handles your data. In short: the files and content you put into our tools are processed on your own device and are not sent to our servers.

1. Files and content you process

Tools such as the image compressor, image converter, PDF merger, image to PDF, JSON formatter, Base64, word counter, QR code generator, percentage calculator and subnet calculator run entirely in your browser using JavaScript. The files and text you choose are not uploaded, not stored on our servers, and we cannot see them.

Results (compressed images, PDF files and so on) are created on your device and only live in your browser's memory until you close the page.

If a future tool needs to send data to a server (for example a DNS lookup), that tool's page will state clearly what is sent, and the data will only be used to return your result.

2. Server logs

Like every website, our web server keeps technical logs for each page request: IP address, time, page address, browser (user agent) and referrer. Logs are used only for operations, security (preventing attacks and abuse) and troubleshooting. They are not used to identify individuals and are never sold.

3. Views, ratings and comments

Each tool page counts views so we know which tools are used most. So that reloading a page only counts once per day, the server stores a one-way hash of your IP address and browser made with a secret key; it cannot be turned back into an IP and is deleted after 2 days. No cookies are used for counting.

When you rate a tool, the server stores the stars together with a random ID created by your browser (so rating again updates your vote instead of adding one). When you comment, the server stores the name you enter, your comment, the time and a hash of your IP (to prevent spam). Comments only appear publicly after review; you can ask for a comment to be removed via the Contact page.

When you search for a tool the site does not have yet, the search term (lowercased, up to 60 characters) is sent to the server so we know which tools to build next. Only the term, its language, how many times it was searched and when are stored; no IP address or anything else that shows who searched. Terms that look like an email address, a link or a long number (such as a phone number) are ignored, and terms nobody searches again for a year are deleted automatically.

4. Browser storage

The site stores a couple of settings in your browser's localStorage: light / dark mode, your cookie choice, the tools you used recently or pinned, the stars you gave and the random ID used for ratings. These contain no personal information and you can clear them at any time from your browser settings.

5. Analytics and advertising cookies

The site may use Google Analytics to measure traffic and how each tool is used, and Google AdSense to show ads. When these services are enabled you will see a banner asking for your choice. Until you accept, we ask Google not to set advertising or analytics cookies (Google Consent Mode) and only non-personalised ads are shown.

If you accept, Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites. You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link in the footer, or turn off personalised advertising in Google's Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com).

Tool usage events sent to Google Analytics only include the kind of action (for example “compressed images”) and general numbers (how many files), never your content, file names or input.

6. Third parties

How Google uses data is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. We do not sell, rent or share your personal data with anyone else.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under Vietnam's Decree 13/2023/ND-CP or the GDPR), you may have the right to be informed, to give or withdraw consent, and to access, correct or delete personal data about you. Because the site requires no account and does not collect the content you process, the only data we hold is usually the technical logs described in section 2. Contact us through the Contact page with any request.

8. Children

The site is not directed at, and does not knowingly collect data from, children under 16.

9. Changes

When this policy changes we will update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will be clearly announced on the site.
